In order to design the best sealing solution, Precision Rings considers many factors when designing a custom piston ring or seal ring. These factors include, but are not limited to, operating stresses, assembly stresses, thermal expansion, and leakage requirements.
Precision’s Engineering Design Sheet lists all of the parameters involved with piston ring design. Once it is submitted, Precision's engineering staff will evaluate and offer the best sealing solution for your application. Precision’s engineers will select the proper ring type, gap style, material and surface treatments (if needed) in order to meet application requirements.
